STATUTES:
Minnesota Statues 524.5-401 to 524.5-433
Minnesota Statutes 524.5-401 through 524.5-433 of the Uniform Probate Code govern conservatorships of minors. The conservator is charged by the court to preserve the assets of the minor. Some courts will waive the bond requirement if the minor’s assets are placed in protective custody with the court.
Underwriting Requirements:
- Copy of petition filed in the matter
- Some sureties require a bond application
- Some sureties require joint control of the assets by attorney or surety
